I once was young and innocent No care in the world So full of trust and love Until they came when I let my guard down Used and torn apart without knowing Broken like a toy no longer wanted Tossed aside as if I was trash Their faces, their names etched in my brain Actions speak louder than words I once was young and innocent But now I look around in fear The memories won't go away Around every corner, they haunt the halls If not careful they will reach out and drag me back down Into Darkness This world is full of wolfs in sheep's clothing I sadly am one of their victims Had to learn the hard way That comfort woolen sheep Hide their deadly claws and sharp teeth Frozen in fear as the chains tighten till you can no longer move Darkness slowly swallowing you whole As there is no escape Dragging you back to the time of being a plaything Like a broken record on a single track. I once was young and innocent No care in the world So full of trust and love Now I lay here full of fear And completely broken.
